This map layer is part of the Renewable EnergieAtlas Flanders. In the ‘Space for Energy Flanders 2030’ scenario (REV2030), the additional production potential for large-scale wind that can be realised within the available space is limited on the basis of a potential figure set for 2030, taking into account the current context and policy objectives. Large-scale wind is based on a 2.3 MW wind turbine. In doing so, we adapt the choice of the positive and negative spatial connections to the current policy context so that there are many additional spatial conditions compared to the technical scenario. For an overview, see the report. Within the available space, a maximum of wind turbines is then placed, taking into account a minimum distance that can be respected between the wind turbines. Given the current context and policy objectives, production potential based on available space is limited to 38 %. The results are presented at the level of the statistical sectors.
