资源简介:
This dataset consists of over 26,600 hydrographic, low resolution STD/CTD and
productivity stations from the Western US and Mexican coasts, including some
stations in the Baja Gulf. Data extend back from the present to 1949, though
prior to 1969 the data are from NODC (NAtional Oceanographic Data Center)
rather than Scripps.
The data at discrete depths can include salinity, temperature, oxygen, PO4,
Silicate, NO2, NO3, Chlorophyll-A, Phaeopigment, and light/dark C14
assimilation. Each station can also include wind, waves, pressure, air
temperature, weather and clouds in addition to position, date, time and ship.
A program called 'calsearch' has been written to access the data in a useful
way. All options are entered on the command line. Output is SD2 or IEH format
or merely a count of suitable stations.
Examples: %calsearch -cruise 8410
selects all data from CalCOFI cruise 8410
%calsearch -year 62 -line 90 -sort we
data from 1962 on line 90 sorted west to east
%calsearch -station 110 90 -sort cron
data from station 110 90 sorted chronologically
%calsearch -lat 20 25 -lon -119 -110 -and sil,oxy
data from a geographic region with silicate and oxygen
Access: The host computer is the NEMO Oceanographic Data Server, a Sun
workstation (UNIX based). This machine can be accessed via internet,
Scripps campus LAN, and a dial-in line.
