Transcriptional changes in 6 month post-fertilization zebrafish bbs2 -/- mutant retinas versus wild-type siblings during ongoing photoreceptor degeneration.

Bulk RNA-seq transcriptional profiling was performed on 6 month post-fertilization bbs2 -/- mutant zebrafish retinas and bbs2 +/+ wild-type siblings to investigate the transcriptional changes that occur during progressive photoreceptor degeneration. Overall design: Total RNA from the retinas of 4 bbs2 -/- homozygote mutant and 4 bbs2 +/+ wild-type siblings was used to prepare libraries for RNA-seq and pairwise comparisons of gene expression.
