THP-1 cells infected with H37Rv

Cells were seeded in 24-well plates with phorbol myristate (PMA, Sigma Aldrich, USA) at a concentration of 100 ng/ml. Adherent THP-1 cells were infected with H37Rv at an MOI of 1 for 4 hours, and then washed three times with PBS to remove bacteria. Experiments involving live H37Rv were performed in a P2+ facility. After culturing infected cells in a culture incubator for 24 hours, RNA was extracted, and uninfected cells were used as the control group
