Lt;a style=‘t;font-weight:bold’; href=quot;https://www.geolion.ktzh.ch/geodatensatz/3253" target=quot;_blank;Metadata Canton of Zurich lt;/a gt; From the 17th century there are various original maps of the famous Zurich cartographer Hans Conrad Gyger (1599-1674) in the State Archives of the Canton of Zurich, from which the map painting of the Zurich area, completed in 1667, stands out. The Gygerian cards served as binding templates of other cantonal cards for almost 200 years. The original is east oriented and sometimes somewhat inaccurate. With pass points, attempts were made to equalise the painting. Original title: In a commendable place Zurich, peculiarly belonging to counts and lords, stett, land and territory.
