资源简介:
The data shows the clinical profile of patients and common pathogens isolated form the critical care unit of Tikur Anbessa Specialized Hospital (TASH). it also shows how drug resistant pathogens and other variables are related to mortality in patients admitted. it is a secondary data collected from the registry book in the intensive care unit (ICU). The inital assumption was that factors like old age, comorbidities', length of stay, surgical intervention, bloodstream infections, gram negative pathogens, multidrug resistance, and carbapenem resistant pathogens are predictors of intra ICU mortality. from this dataset it was concluded that Gram-negative bacteria are the commonest isolated pathogens in the ICU of TASH with most exhibiting high degree of resistance against the majority of antimicrobials. Blood stream infection, septic shock, medical admissions and carbapenem resistant acinetobacter baumannii infection were determined to be predictors of intra ICU mortality.
