Macrofloral analyses were conducted on samples from isolated cysts and
firehearths encountered during monitoring of pipeline trench excavations between
Alkali Ridge and Montezuma Creek in southeastern Utah. Features for which dates
were obtained span the period 50 B.C. through A.D. 950, indicating Basketmaker
II through Pueblo I occupations. This study details macrofloral remains
recovered, but does not interpret the significance of the remains to activity at
the site, since no information was available concerning feature types or the
description of individual sites.
