资源简介:
This study explores the effectiveness of gamification in teaching Economic English vocabulary to learners in higher education and professional contexts. Gamification, defined as the integration of game elements such as points, badges, leaderboards, and interactive challenges into non-game learning environments, has gained significant attention as an innovative pedagogical approach. The research investigates how gamified strategies enhance students’ motivation, engagement, and retention of specialized economic terminology.Using a mixed-methods approach, the study combines quantitative data from pre- and post-tests with qualitative feedback gathered through student surveys and classroom observations. The findings reveal that gamification not only increases learners’ active participation but also significantly improves their ability to understand and apply economic vocabulary in real-life communicative situations. Furthermore, the use of digital tools and competitive elements fosters a collaborative learning atmosphere and encourages autonomous learning. The study concludes that gamification is a highly effective method for teaching Economic English vocabulary, particularly in contexts where traditional teaching approaches fail to sustain student interest. It also provides practical recommendations for educators on how to design and implement gamified activities tailored to economic language instruction. Future research directions include exploring long-term impacts of gamification and its integration with emerging educational technologies.
