We performed miRNA array analysis for S-HCV (short-term HCV), L-HCV (long-term HCV) and control (uninfected Huh751), total for 3 samples to identify miRNA candidates in HCV-related HCC. To understand the effects of HCV infection on miRNA expression, we used miRNA array expression profiling as a discovery platform to identify HCV induced miRNA and their potential role in HCV related HCC. Huh751 cells were infected with HCV-JFH1 in vitro and differentially expressed (DE) miRNAs with a >3.2-fold change (p < 0.05) between samples (S-HCV, L-HCV) and control (Huh751). A total of 73 miRNA were identified as DE. HCV induced miRNA expression in JFH1 infected Huh751 in S-HCV (5-days) and L-HCV (30-days).
