Youth and alcohol abuse in Slovenia

The main goal of this research project was analysis of alcohol use and abuse among Slovenian youth with the intention of forming professional starting points and strategies for effectiveness in the field of preventing alcohol abuse among Slovenian youth. The main issues discussed are: dissemination of alcohol use/abuse among youth, percentage of drinkers younger than 15 as one of the riskier segments, reasons for alcohol use/abuse among Slovenian youth, perception of problems related to alcohol abuse among youth, values orientation of Slovenian youth related to alcohol use and abuse, leisure time activities of youth in Slovenia, needs and desires for (active) leisure time and motive activity of youth within leisure time.
