资源简介:
This stone weight was made to be tied to a fishing net. It is made out of a soft type of rock called soapstone, or steatite. It was probably originally part of a carved stone bowl and repurposed when the bowl broke. This net weight was found in Harnett County, NC (31HT1084) and is now part of the Office of State Archaeology Research Center teaching collection (TC 15-E; Accession no. 2013.0687a61). It measures 5.2 cm long, 3.8 cm wide, and 2.3 cm thick and weighs 83.4 grams. This model was constructed by David Cranford with 66 photos using the Agisoft Metashape software. (Credit: NCDNCR/OSA)
