This table contains figures on the turnover development of business and ICT service providers (SBI 2008 sections J, M and N). Previously, the table on the evolution of the turnover of the Information and Communication sector was published separately, but it is now integrated into the business services sector. The trend is represented as a percentage change from a previous period and by means of indices with the base year 2015. Turnover developments are published in two forms. First of all as year-on-year developments where growth compared to the same period in the previous year is central. These figures are presented uncorrected. The second form concerns period-on-period developments, for example quarter-on-quarter. Period-on-period developments are possible by applying seasonal adjustment. Data available from: First quarter of 2005. Status of the figures: The figures for 2023 are provisional. The figures for a calendar year shall become final no later than five months after the end of that calendar year. Through response, the figures can still change until then and the status of ‘provisional’ is maintained. Amendments as of 30 November 2023: The figures for the third quarter of 2023 have been added. Changes as at 31 August 2023: Due to the erroneous reading of revised 2022 figures, not the most up-to-date data have been used during the 2023Q1 publication and some 2022 figures have changed. The changes are limited for most sectors (ranging from one tenth to a maximum of 1 percentage point). Exceptions are: — Sector 732 Market and opinion survey, 2022 quarter 4, where the difference was 1.87 percentage points. — Branch 7912 Travel Organisation Agencies, 2022 quarters 3 and 4, with differences of 4.32 and 7.40 percentage points respectively. — Sector 82 Other business services, 2022 quarter 4, where the difference was -3.9 percentage points. When will there be new figures? For quarterly statistics, CBS publishes the last working day of the second month after the quarter. After publication of the final results, CBS only adjusts the results if major adjustments and/or corrections are necessary.
