Bradyrhizobium sp. TSA1, UNPA324, and UNPF46 are non-N2-fixing, non-nodule-forming denitrifiers isolated from rice paddy soils. They carry nirS, instead of nirK, as nitrite reductase genes. Comparative genome analysis among these strains as well as other Bradyrhizobium strains will give us insights into the evolution of this agriculturally-important microorganisms.
