The V3-V4 region of the 16S rRNA genes were amplified using the primer set of 338F/806R. A unique 6-bp barcode region has been selected for each sample. The amplicons were purified using a universal DNA purification kit (TIANGEN, China) The purified amplicons for each sample were equimolarly pooled and sent to Guangdong Magigene Biotechnology Co., Ltd., (Guangzhou, China) for library construction and paired-end (2 × 250bp) sequencing on an Illumina Nova6000 platform.
