#Sonar opinion polls: #---------------------- # #From August 1989 Sonar has carried out a number of opinion polls, i.e. surveys of attitudes and habits of life of the adult Danish population. The opinion polls have been carried out regularly in the period (approx. 10 times a year), and each opinion poll includes about six different subjects as well as the question of the respondent's voting intention at a hypothetical general election on the day of the interview. # The opinion polls have been carried out in collaboration with the daily paper Morgenavisen Jyllands-Posten. All the questions have been included in DDA-2042: Sonar Opinion Polls, 1993. In addition, the individual opinion polls are found in DDA-2043 to DDA-2052. # #This survey (DDA-2047 Sonar Opinion Polls 1993: May) deals with the following issues: #Party preference; voting intention at the coming EC referendum; attitude to an impeachment trial against Erik Ninn-Hansen; attitude to the planned tax reform according to which the income tax will be lowered whereas 'green' taxes will be increased; whether the household may reduce the consumption of electricity, water and petrol in such a way that it corresponds to a 'tax relief'; whether and in which ways the Western countries should take military action in Bosnia if the Bosnian Serbs reject the UN peace plan; whether Denmark ought to take part in such a military action; assessment of the members of the Government; assessment of the debate leading up to the EC referendum on 18 May; assessment of the credibility of a number of persons during the debate; whether the decision to vote for or against is mainly made with the 'heart' or with the 'brain'; and summer holiday plans
