Single cell sequencing of rat spinal cord

Spinal cord injury (SCI) refers to the damage to the spinal cord due to trauma, disease or degeneration, and the number of new cases is increasing yearly. The changes of cells in the area of SCI are significant to tissue injury. However, the changes in cellular composition, the trajectory of cell development and the interesting relationship of intercellular communication in the injured area are still unclear. In this study, we used single-cell RNA sequencing to evaluate almost all the cell types that make up the site of SCI in rats.脊髓损伤（Spinal cord injury, SCI）是指因创伤、疾病或退行性病变引发的脊髓损伤，且新增病例数逐年递增。该损伤区域内的细胞变化对组织损伤进程具有关键影响，但目前学界对损伤区域内细胞组成的变化、细胞发育轨迹以及细胞间通讯的潜在关联仍不甚明晰。本研究采用单细胞RNA测序（single-cell RNA sequencing）技术，对大鼠脊髓损伤位点的几乎全部细胞类型开展了系统分析。
