四川龙门山泥盆-石炭系界线剖面地层柱状图
四川龙门山甘溪镇一带的泥盆纪碳酸盐岩-碎屑岩地层十分发育。前人对这一地区泥盆-石炭系地层进行了详细的生物地层学研究。作为依据的珊瑚类、腕足类、牙形类等化石较为丰富，但分辨率和精度相对较低，泥盆纪-石炭纪界线一直以来没有确定下来。以沙窝子村附近地层为例，包括泥盆系上部的茅坝组、长滩子组以及黑岩窝组等。本次科考对四川绵阳沙窝子村附近的龙门山剖面（GPS坐标：104°42′52.44″E, 31°54′
