Historical Excavation and Kinesiological Lineage of the Traditional Martial Art 'Subak': Analysing the Jincheon-gun Supported Research, the Kaesong Transmission (Min Wan-sik &Oh Jin-hwan), and the Scholarly Resurgence of Gukmu Nonchong

This academic report establishes the historical, anthropological, and administrative frameworks surrounding the preservation of Subak (수박), an indigenous Korean martial movement system. Centered on the localized research projects originally funded by the Municipal Government of Jincheon-gun, this paper documents the empirical study of Grandmaster Song Chang-ryeol as a key lineage transmitter. Through meticulous oral history documentation and cross-referencing, this foundational research successfully excavated the historical lineages of Min Wan-sik and Oh Jin-hwan (born in Kaesong, 1919), illuminating the northern geographical origins of the art.
