Original data of the NYD Lake on Inexpressible Island within the Terra Nova Bay.

This database contains the raw data generated and compiled for the study of the NYD isolation basin on Inexpressible Island, Antarctica. It includes original radiocarbon measurements from eight AMS ¹⁴C dated samples obtained from a 37 cm sediment core, along with the full-depth grain size distribution data measured at 1 cm intervals. Geochemical and isotopic data—comprising TOC, TN, TS, total phosphorus, δ¹³C, and δ¹⁵N—are also provided for each sampled depth. In addition, the database incorporates δ¹³C and C/N ratio data from other lakes on Inexpressible Island, allowing for broader spatial comparison of organic matter sources. Supplementary radiocarbon dates from raised beach deposits on Inexpressible Island, compiled from previous literature, are included to support regional sea-level reconstructions. Please note that the sample IDs in the original dataset do not correspond to depth numbers; for example, sample ID 0 corresponds to a depth of 37 cm.
