Sick leave according to employees; profession

This table contains data on sick leave of workers aged 15 to 75, by occupational level and occupation. This includes employees who are employed but who do not perform work due to sickness, maternity leave or other temporary career breaks. Furthermore, the table also contains data on the last case of absenteeism of employees. This default case may be longer than 12 months ago. As of the reporting year 2022, the method of data collection and processing of the NEA differs in some respects from previous reporting years. Such differences can have systematic effects on outcomes, making the figures from 2022 possibly not comparable to the figures until 2021. More information is available in the NEA 2022 research description. All figures are based on at least 100 observations. Data available from: 2014. Status of the figures: Figures in this table are final. Amendments as of 18 April 2023: The annual figures for 2022 have been added. Despite the care with which this publication was compiled, an imperfection was found afterwards. The sick leave rate for the profession 0612 (public officials) was not correct for 2014. This figure has now been adjusted. Confidence intervals have also been added in the table, and the minimum number of observations for publication has been changed from 200 to 100. Amendments as of 20 April 2022 The figures belonging to the category ‘0911 Farmers and Foresters’ for 2016 and the figures belonging to the category ‘1116 Providers of Other Personal Services’ for 2014 were incorrectly displayed. This has been corrected. The annual figures for 2021 have also been added. Amendments as at 31 July 2020 In the ROA-CBS 2014 Professional Classification (BRC2014), a change has been made. In the new version of the BRC2014, profession group ‘0551 Managers znd’ is no longer assigned to professional level ‘unknown’, but at professional level 4. As a result, the results of occupational level ‘unknown’ and occupational level 4 have changed for the years 2014 to 2018. Changes as of 29 August 2019 The figures belonging to the category ‘occupational level unknown’ were incorrect for 2014 and 2016. For 2015 to 2017, these were unjustified as unknown, insufficiently reliable or secret. This has been corrected. When will there be new figures? The figures for the previous year will be published in May.
