Red Metal Limited (Red Metal) is the owner and operator of EPM 26157 – Grevillea located located 200 km north-north-west of Mount Isa and 30 km south-east of the Century zinc – lead - silver mine. The tenement forms a part of Red Metal’s Lawn Hill project. The tenement was acquired to cover an area interpreted to be prospective for lead – zinc - silver mineralisation in covered portions of the Lawn Hill platform near the giant Century zinc – lead - silver deposit.
This report outlines work carried out within EPM 26157 during the period October 25, 2019 to October 24, 2020 and is the fourth Annual Report in respect of the tenement.
Work during the current term has comprised further data analysis and compilation as well as access negotiations with land holders and Native Title claimants.
A magnetotelluric (MT) survey that was planned for 2018 – 2019 was first postponed due to crew unavailability and then due to the travel restriction imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The survey was eventually conducted in September 2020. It comprised a total of 19 stations at 500 m intervals on two east – west lines for a total of eight line kilometres. Results are pending at the time of writing of this report and will be reported in the 2021 Annual Report.
Work program for the current term comprised three diamond drillholes for a total of 900 metres and associated downhole surveys. This did not eventuate as the planned MT survey results of which were to be used for drillhole targeting could not be carried out until late in the term due to delays caused by MT crew unavailability and travel restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 travel restrictions.
In the next term it is planned to process the results of the MT survey and drill test any targets that are defined if warranted.
