In total 38 participants (66% women), M Age = 80.15, SD = 7.21, were randomly selected into exercise (n=24) and waiting list control (n=14) groups; the exercise group trained three times a weeky for one hour each time doing specific Fullerton Functional Fitness Test (FFFT)-oriented training along handgrip exercise. FFFT tests, handgrio power, and five subjective psychological measures (life satisfaction, resilience, happiness, perceived stress, and well-being) were assessed at baseline, after eight weeks, and after 16 weeks. All measures changes in the positive direction, most benefits emerged after eight weeks already.
