SGS-LTER Precipitation at the Central Plains Experimental Range Headquarters in Nunn, Colorado, USA since 1939

Reading in inches for 24 hr. period ending at 8:00 A.M. of entry collected since 1939 in front of the Central Plains Experimental Range headquarters, north of Nunn, Colorado. From 1939 until 2006 precipitation was measured with a rain stick and in 2006 a tipping bucket was installed as part of a modern automated meteorogical station. The mission of the scientists working on the CPER is to develop new knowledge of ecological processes in semi-arid rangeland ecosystems, and incorporate this knowledge into management practices which address production and conservation goals.
