The Henry Herman Leopold Adolph Brose Guide to Records documents and contextualises the records of Henry Herman Leopold Adolph Brose, holder of a variety of academic positions before becoming a consulting biophysicist in Sydney 1939-1965 and translator of a number of German physics texts into English. Records in the collection document Brose's career as a biophysicist in both the UK and Australia, his internment in both the first and second world wars, and his relationship with Albert Einstein, Arnold Sommerfeld and Erwin Freundlich. The collection documented in the Guide consists of 100 inventory items, mostly paper format files, grouped into ten series. The total collection occupies 122 linear cm of shelf space (or its equivalent). The Guide is the output of a research database. It was published online by the Australian Science and Technology Heritage Centre in March 2004. The records were transferred to the Australian Science Archives Project in 1998 for processing.
The records are held by the Barr Smith Library at the University of Adelaide (MSS 0089). The collection was listed by Ailie Smith.
