Liver cancer, a major cause of death, with the incidence and mortality rate are still on the rise in the world, and it is necessary to explore the effective therapeutic strategies. Previous studies demonstrated that exosomes have multiple biological activities such as anti-oxidant, anti-tumor, and anti-inflammatory effects. In this study, exosome-like nanoparticles (ELNS) were successfully isolated and purified from Radix Polygoni Multiflori (RPM) juice by ultracentrifugation for the first time. It indicated that RPM-ELNs could be take up by hepatoma cells effectively. Moreover, RPM-ELNs could inhibit cells proliferation, migration in vitro, and mainly target mice liver tissue in vivo. In addition, RNAsequencing and qPCR experiments were performed, and the results revealed that RPM-ELNs could regulate pathway related to the human anticancer system.
