This paper-based collection (1978-1979) compiled by David Gordon Christie consists of forms titled "Melbourne Stroke Register" completed to show name, age, country of origin, pre-stroke data, clinical state and death record of the participant.
The "Stroke Study" was compiled by Christie in 1978 and 1979, and was funded by the NHMRC. It was a completed analysis of stroke occurrences in the Local Governments areas of Brunswick and North Coburg over an eighteenth month period. Three years later there was a follow up of the 530 survivors.
