Waterline and Coastal Features 2025
收藏资源简介:
Overview This feature service provides detailed line features representing various water-related structures and streams within the Cape Cod region, based on high-resolution aerial imagery acquired in spring 2025. The data reflects updates and new additions to an existing planimetric dataset with a high positional accuracy suitable for mapping at a 1:40,000 scale. Feature Layer Waterline Features: This primary layer includes multiple types of waterlines such as coastlines, streams (perennial and intermittent), canals, levees, dams, bridges, and various coastal structures like jetties, groins, and revetments. Each feature is cataloged with hydrological identifiers, flow direction, and detailed classification based on the USGS National Hydrography Dataset, supporting both cartographic and hydrological analyses. Geographic Coverage This dataset is specific to the Cape Cod area, Massachusetts, and covers coastal and inland waterline features as seen in the spring 2020 aerial imagery. Data Collection and Quality The data was produced by NV5 under the Cape Cod Commission's funding, utilizing 7.5 cm ground sample distance imagery collected under optimal conditions (leaf-off, snow-free, minimal atmospheric disturbances) between February and April 2025. The dataset ensures high horizontal positional accuracy (within 0.38 meters at 95% confidence), suitable for detailed environmental monitoring and planning. Applications Environmental and hydrological studies focused on coastal and stream features. Mapping and management of water resources and coastal infrastructure. Local government planning and conservation efforts in the Cape Cod region.
