Description This repository contains the data and R code used for generating the results in the article “Heterospecific-neighbor-mediated changes in density and size increase prey capture by a carnivorous plant” published in Oikos. Repository structure 1. Folder “01_Data_Raw” This folder contains the original dataset during the data collection process. 1) File "Sundew_Data.xlsx": This file contains the raw data on plant densities, sundew traits, prey capture, and insect communities in the habitats with varying neighboring plant densities. 2. Folder “02_R_Code” This folder contains the R scripts for data analyses and visualization. 1) File "01_Models_Plant_Density.R": This script analyzes the densities of sundews and neighboring plant flowerheads in the habitats with varying neighboring plant densities. 2) File "02_Models_Sundew_Traits.R": This script analyzes the sundew traits (rosette diameter and number of leaves) in the habitats with varying neighboring plant densities. 3) File "03_Models_Prey_Captured.R": This script analyzes the prey capture performance and prey composition of sundews in the habitats with varying neighboring plant densities. 4) File “04_Models_Insect_Communities.R": This script analyzes the insect abundance and composition in the habitats with varying neighboring plant densities as well as the flowerhead removal plots. 5) File "05_Figures.R": This script generates the figures in the manuscript. 3.
