Co3Mo3N has previously been shown to be capable of catalysing the synthesis of ammonia via a Mars-van Krevelen mechanism, utilising lattice nitrogen as part of the process. This study aims to understand differences in activity when tungsten is doped onto the molybdenum sites by examining nitrogen mobility and exchange of 15N. An operando neutron diffraction study is ideal to probe these effects due to the strong scattering ability of nitrogen and the contrast between normally abundant nitrogen and 15N.
