A class photo of young students at Eighth Street School, Los Angeles, California, USA, circa 1900. The group of fourteen children is in three rows, five sitting in the front, five standing behind them, and four older students standing in the back. The eleven girls wear dresses, many patterned with puffed sleeves and a few wear hats or bonnets. The three boys have long cravats or ties on with wide collars over the shoulders. The group appears to be in a yard behind the school as there is a tree and fence behind them. With residue from removal from an album on the reverse, but little wear to the front, the condition is good.
