Heavy volatile organic pollutants in deposition, Air Quality Monitoring Network (LUQS)

LUQS, the air quality monitoring system of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, records and investigates the concentrations of various pollutants in the air. The measuring system integrates continuous and discontinuous measurements and provides a comprehensive representation of the air quality data. By means of open vessels (according to Bergerhoff), all substances that come from the air as dry dust (dry deposition) or together with rainwater (wet deposition) are collected from the air to surfaces. A surface load per unit of time (e.g. ng I-TE/(m² x d) is calculated from the area of the vessels (6 pieces), the service life.
