Street sections Cologne

A section of the road is part of the municipal division. This hierarchical system divides the Cologne city area into a city structure and block structure at various levels. Other components include a road structure and addresses. The entire municipal division is explained in this publication. Definition: One road section defines a section of a road from one junction or junction to the next. Road sections begin and end at road nodes and are usually numbered continuously in ten steps. The numbering starts at the part of the street where the house numbering begins. For roads that do not have house numbers, the numbering usually runs from the city centre towards the city border. Explanation of the attributes is attached to the shapefile as CSV. It is updated about half-years and before each election. All spatial data of the municipal division, election organisation units and other territorial divisions are included in the spatial reference system Geopackage.
