Bog Iron Nodules preview

The images are of freshwater lake iron concentrations (or nodules) that have been historically mined for their iron content, now just scientific curiosities. GTK is investigating whether they may be able to be used for recording environmental changes in Finnish lakes since the last Ice Age (preserving at least 100,000 years of Earth history). Data was used in the MineHeritage project (https://mineheritage-project.eu/) Juankoski leaflet, included in the preview dataset.
