The lung adenocarcinoma (LADC) is one of the most prevalent types of lung cancer that has been associated with lung and gut microbiota. However, the interactions between lung and gut microbiota together with cancer development remain unclear. Aimed to correlate the lung and gut microbiota with LADC, we performed metagenomic study on 42 LADC patients fecal samples paired with bronchoalveolar lavage fluid samples in parallel with 64 healthy controls using 16S rRNA gene amplicon and shotgun metagenome sequencing technology.
