Massive Multi-Omics Microbiome Database (M3DB) is a large-scale microbiome data repository and analysis platform developed by Virginia Commonwealth University. This dataset is designed to handle massive sequence and taxonomic data from microbiome projects generated via next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies. M3DB leverages Apache Hadoop, Apache Hive and PostgreSQL technologies to enable users to efficiently store, manage and analyze large volumes of data, and provides fast query capabilities.
