Pseudomonas genus has many opportunistic pathogen species. These species such as P. aeruginosa is intrinsically resistant to several antibiotics and has the ability to acquire multi-drug resistance through the presence of several tripartite resistance nodulation-division (RND) multi-drug efflux systems such as MexEF-OprN multi-drug efflux pump. Multi-drug resistant genes, MexEF-OprN and the related Pseudomonas strains remains unknown in Municipals Solid Waste landfill, a global used MSW disposal strategy.
