This database provides up-to-date taxonomic information on mosquitoes, built on a natural classification system established via phylogenetic analysis and morphological data. It includes all formally established taxonomic units, as well as those units that are based on intuitively interpreted morphological data but have not yet been investigated using phylogenetic methods.
