Replication Data for: Lambrechts et al. (2025) - The relation between macro- and microscopic muscular alterations of the medial gastrocnemius in children with spastic cerebral palsy

This is a cross-sectional dataset consisting of macro- and microscopic muscle parameters of the medial gastrocnemius, for both children with cerebral palsy and typically developing peers (aged 2-9 years). Macroscopic muscle parameters were assessed through 3D freehand ultrasound and included muscle volume, anatomical cross-sectional area, muscle belly ength and echo-intensity. Microscopic parameters were collected through muscle biopsies and included fiber cross-sectional area, coefficient of variation, percentage of fiber types, capillary density and capillary to fiber ratio.
