Distribution of adults with disabilities by functional disability, disability groups

Information on adults with disabilities has been selected for whom the decision of the State Medical Commission for Health and Work Ability Examination (VDEĀVK) regarding certain disability is valid during the reporting period. The statistics are obtained from the welfare information system LabIS. The age of a person shall be determined at the end of the reference period or at the date of death of the person. One person may have several disability groups at the same time. One person may have several functional disorders at the same time. Adults with disabilities together – persons for whom the decision of the VDEĀVC is in force during the reference period. Group 1 – adult persons with group 1 disability, for whom the decision of the VDEĀVC is in force during the reference period. Group 2 – adult persons with group 2 disability, for whom the decision of the VDEĀVC is in force during the reference period. Group 3 – adult persons with group 3 disability, for whom the decision of the VDEĀVC is in force during the reference period. Visual functional disorders – persons with disabilities who have a positive decision of the VDEĀVK during the reference period, the basic diagnosis of which is related to visual impairment. Hearing functional disorders – persons with disabilities who have a positive decision of the VDEĀVK during the reference period, the basic diagnosis of which is related to hearing impairment. Motor functional disorders – persons with disabilities who have a positive decision of the VDEĀVK during the reference period, the basic diagnosis of which is related to mobility disorders. Mental and behavioural functional disorders – persons with disabilities who have a positive decision of the VDEĀVK during the reference period, the underlying diagnosis of which is related to psychiatric and behavioural disorders. Other functional impairment/disturbance type is not specified – persons with disabilities who have a positive decision of the GDESAV during the reference period, the underlying diagnosis of which is associated with other disorders or their type is not specified.
