Kilometers of tracks fitted with Railpads 2.0

In 2017, Infrabel launched its new Railpad 2.0 as a European premiere. This is a small rubber sole placed between the rails and the concrete sleepers, which reduces the noise pollution of trains by 3 decibels, which is equivalent to a reduction by half of the noise pollution generated by vibrations of passing trains. This dataset shows the extra number of km of tracks that is equipped with Railpads 2.0 each year, as well as the total number of km of tracks that is equipped on the Infrabel network.
