资源简介:
Aging involves the accumulation of various forms of molecular and cellular damages over time.Key features of aging, such as mitochondrial dysfunction, dysbiosis, and oxidative stress, areclosely linked and largely driven by inflammation. This study investigates the role of succinate, akey metabolite in the TCA cycle, in age-related oral dysbiosis and inflammation. We used wild-type (WT) and succinate receptor 1 knockout (SUCNR1 KO) mice of different ages for this study to compare the shifts in the oral microbiome in aging.
