Amplicon sequencing analysis of prokaryotic 16S rRNA gene was performed using the biomass collected from down-hanging-sponge (DHS) reactors fed with artificial seawater media containing NH3. The DHS reactors were operated under different operational conditions (i.e., temperature and addition of powdered activated carbon), and the biomass were collected after 34, 212 and 374 d of operation.
