The influence of independent local parties on spending: Evidence from Dutch municipalities

This data was prepared to see electoral competition in Dutch municipalities. In the dataset, municipalities are matched where there is a mayority of independent local parties vs. to those where there is a mayority of mainstream parties. The variables on which these muncipalities were matched are also included.
