Data supporting the research on Generation and Measurement of Rarefaction Shock Waves in Dense Vapors

The objective of this research is to experimentally demonstrate the existence of Nonclassical Gas Dynamics, in particular the formation of Rarefaction Shock Waves in dense vapors of organic fluids. A series of expansion experiments were carried out with a special Ludwig tube filled with the dense vapor of siloxane D6, a silicon oil, at high temperature and pressure. The main experimental measurements are the pressure and the temperature of the fluid over time. Data contains some other information to corroborate the main results.
