资源简介:
Previous studies have reported progressive reductions of terminal bronchioles in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Based on micro-CT and Microarray profiling, this study determines the exact site of terminal bronchiole reduction and begins to investigate the gene expression patterns associated with the reduction in COPD. Systematic uniform random (SUR) sampling provided 120 samples (8/lung) from 10 explanted lungs of patients with very-severe (Global Initiative for Obstructive Lung Disease, GOLD 4) COPD treated by lung transplantation, and 5 unused donor control lungs. After quality control, three samples were removed from the panel. Thus, this dataset contains the Microarray profiling of 117 samples that includes 77 COPD samples and 40 control samples.
