Crossroads of Animation and Theology: Exploring Anime Through the Lens of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam

This treatise interrogates the semiotic, epistemological, and teleological dimensions through which anime synthesizes and recontextualizes the dogmatic, eschatological, and axiological frameworks intrinsic to the tripartite Abrahamic traditions—Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Employing Vincent Froom’s Finding Faith and Meaning Through Anime as an exegetical fulcrum, the analysis elucidates anime’s hermeneutical deployment of sacred archetypes, ontological allegories, and narrative typologies that reflect and subvert the core metaphysical, theodical, and deontological constructs of these religions.
