In this project we sequenced transcriptome of redclaw, Cherax quadricarinatus hepatopancreas using next generation sequencing (Ion Torrent platform) in order to profile it for expressed sequence tags. Our objective was to identify and characterize redclaw digestive enzyme genes and their expressions for better understanding of species' genetic capacity in relation to digestion.
