Combined Transcriptome and Metabolome Analysis Reveals Carbon Catabolite Repression Governing Growth and Pathogenicity in Verticillium dahliae

We characterized two Carbon catabolite repression genes VdCreA and VdCreC in Verticillium dahliae The VdCreA and VdCreC knockout mutants reduced virulence to cotton. We have further generated 36 highly reliable and stable VdCreA knockout mutants and VdCreC knockout mutants libraries to comprehensively explore the dynamic expression of genes and metabolites under different carbon sources and CCR conditions.
