This table provides data on the number of companies and institutions to economic activity, based on the 2008 Standard Business Classification (SBI 2008) broken down by (sub)classes of the 2008 SBI. The companies are also classified according to company size based on the number of operations persons and by legal form. The number of companies has been completed to a multiple of five. The series has been traced back to 2006. When are new figures coming? The table was discontinued on 20 April 2012. The compilation of the figures has changed in two main parts compared to previous years: — the statistical unit has changed. — small businesses are included in the framework. The hour criterion (15 hours) has been released. These changes are so substantial that the results are not comparable to those of previous years and have therefore started with a new table in which the figures have been reduced to 2007.
