Open Dataset of Standardized CO2 Sorbent Sorption Parameters

This open dataset provides a machine-readable compilation of standardized CO2 sorbent parameters reported in the scientific literature up to 2026. It accompanies the proposed capture-profile approach for reporting standard sorption parameters for CO2 capture sorbents. The dataset includes sorbent category, sorbent name, capture method, capture temperature, total pressure, CO2 concentration, reaction enthalpy, maximum CO2 capacity, kinetic descriptors, cyclic stability, maximum cycle number, capacity retention, viscosity, corrosivity, volatility, cost, CO2/N2 selectivity, year of publication, and source references. The purpose of the dataset is to promote consistent reporting, cross-comparison, reproducibility, mechanistic interpretation, and data-driven optimization of CO2 capture materials. Reported values were converted to the units specified in CO2_sorbents_codebook.csv. Parameters not available in the original sources are marked as NR. Users should consult the cited publications for full experimental context and methodological details. Researchers are encouraged to populate the dataset directly by contacting the maintainer or use it as a template for reporting new CO2 sorbents.
